Jerome Forbes

Jerome Forbes of Calverton died Jan. 23 at Riverhead Care Center. He was 80.
He was born Aug. 21, 1934 in the Bronx. Mr. Forbes worked as a salesman for Griswold Candy Company. He was a past president and member of Flanders Mens Club.

Family members said he enjoyed sports, including playing mens slow-pitch softball and bowling.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his daugthers, Susan Edwards, Mary Forbes, and Diane Coppola; his stepdaughters, Dianne Gill, Lorine Seewald, Morgain Pauker, Christine Elard and Teresa Kennedy; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Jan. 25 at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Cremation was private.
