Photos: 9/11 memorial at Reeves Park in Riverhead

The Reeves Park community held its annual 9/11 memorial Monday to pay respects to those who died on Sept. 11, 2001, when attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a jet airliner that crashed in Pennsylvania took almost 3,000 lives, including two from Reeves Park.
Thomas Kelly, a New York City firefighter from Reeves Park, and FDNY member Jonathan Ielpi, whose family owns a summer home there, both died on 9/11.
The Riverhead Fire Department led the procession down Thomas Kelly Memorial Drive followed by Deacon Michael Bonocore, the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps and local Boy Scouts.
